Measuring the Remains of the Malahat, Queen Of The Rum Runners?



The Sea Hunters measure the remains of a ship laying at the bottom of Powell River that are believed to be those of the Malahat, Queen of the Rum Runners.

Measuring key features and matching them to the Malahat’s building plans is the goal. A primary dive has already comcluded that this wreck was a sailing vessel that used propellers as an assit as did the Malahat.

They measure the fuel tanks, the keel’s length, haus pipe, and the struts that held the twin propellers in place.
