Powell River Travel – Riding The Powell River – Comox Ferry

Here is a pod of approximately 6 whales on the trip over from Comox to Powell River. Ferry travellers often see porpoises and seals and once in a while orcas, like in this video, and humpbacks occasionally.

This ferry ride marked this bike riders official descent down the western coast of North America via Highway 101. To this point he had been traveling north, but finally caught a ferry to Vancouver Island. He rode this stretch down to Victoria over two days. The backdrop is Vancouver Island, with snowcapped peaks and deep blue waters all around.
