Bear Bay Forest contains the last Old Forest ecosystem in Pender Harbour, BC. It is scheduled to be logged in spring 2009. We believe it deserves protection not only for it’s own sake, but to protect the following:
- the blue-listed Red-Legged frog population that lives inside the forest
- the Northern Coho Salmon run that spawns [...]

A quick video of the off hi-way logging trucks around the Powell River B.C. area. 2 blownV-12s mated together and 18 speed powershift. They handle 70 ton loads. Tires are off highway and run low pressures of 30 -35psi. Brakes are water cooled.
They don’t make them like this any more.
